OMOTE Advisory's Analytical Platform
RIALTO KERNEL is OMOTE Advisory's analytical platform, designed to industrialize the most demanding risk, ALM, and reporting processes for financial institutions.
The Architecture Behind the Name
RIALTO stands for Risk Intelligence, Automation, Learning, Tools and Orchestration — the pillars on which the platform is built. KERNEL refers to the stable analytical core around which they articulate.
The name also evokes the Rialto Bridge, designed to connect two worlds — financial expertise and the operational power of intelligent technology.
Why RIALTO Exists
In risk management and balance sheet steering, the gap between regulatory compliance and operational mastery is where many institutions lose their footing. Existing tools — often technically powerful, sometimes commercially dominant — struggle to produce what a modern Risk or ALM function truly needs: a system that can be understood, steered, and whose output withstands audit, prudential dialogue, and internal challenge.
Bridging this gap requires more than a new workflow layer on top of legacy engines. It requires a platform designed from the inside, by practitioners who have themselves run these processes.
That is the platform we are building.
Architecture
Modular, interoperable, augmented by artificial intelligence, RIALTO transforms the most complex regulatory and risk chains into fully traceable, recalculable, and auditable systems end to end. Every input, every calculation, every output is designed to withstand internal audit, prudential dialogue, and model challenge.
The architecture rests on a kernel — the stable analytical core — onto which calculation engines and business modules connect.
The Kernel
The stable analytical core. It orchestrates modules, manages traceability, and ensures calculation consistency across domains. It guarantees that an interest rate risk measure and a liquidity measure share the same behavioral assumptions, the same calculation horizon, and the same database — an essential consistency condition for institutions that must defend the convergence of their metrics before the supervisor.
Flow Insight Core
The cash flow modeling and projection engine. It produces, line by line (at deal level), a consistent representation of the balance sheet's cash flow dynamics — whether contractual (schedules, amortizations, run-off of fixed-maturity contracts) or behavioral (demand deposits, prepayments, implicit optionality, refinancing dynamics).
Flow Insight Core is the foundation of the ALM modules — IRRBB, liquidity — which rely on its flow projections. It can be deployed end-to-end, or integrated as an enrichment layer on top of existing flow engines, for institutions that have invested in their own proprietary models and wish to retain them. The kernel is designed to connect, not to replace what works.
The Modules
Business-specific extensions plugged into the kernel, activated according to each institution's scope. The list is not exhaustive.
The Modules
IRRBB
Measurement and management of interest rate risk in the banking book. ΔEVE, ΔNII, ΔVAN, EBA and internal scenarios, ITS and steering.
ALM-LIQUIDITY
Production and analysis of liquidity metrics (GAPs, LCR, NSFR, ALMM), ECB reporting, liquidity stress.
MARKET RISK
VaR / expected shortfall measurement, FRTB implementation (SA and IMA), Greeks, P&L attribution.
SOLVENCY & COREP
Solvency engine: calculation of credit RWAs (standard and IRB), market and operational, and capital requirements. Automated COREP regulatory reporting.
ICAAP / ILAAP / RAF DASHBOARDS
Executive dashboards for internal prudential exercises: capital and liquidity adequacy, limit monitoring and risk appetite tracking.
REGULATORY & SUPERVISORY REPORTING
Automated production of regulatory reports: periodic submissions, prudential statements, end-to-end traceability for supervisory dialogue.
Analytical Sovereignty
For the banks, insurers, and financial institutions we equip, RIALTO opens the path to analytical sovereignty: an environment they deeply understand, can evolve, and fully control. Not a new vendor dependency. A system designed to amplify internal expertise, not replace it.
This stance is our business commitment. For institutions that must defend their choices before supervisors, their models before auditors, and their results before risk committees, mastering an analytical environment they understand is more valuable than enduring a tool they do not control.
Origin and Provenance
RIALTO KERNEL is developed by the teams at OMOTE Advisory — an independent financial risk and ALM advisory firm, founded on the conviction that expertise cannot be delegated.
This provenance is decisive. It is what allows RIALTO to be conceived as a platform calibrated by design for the specific requirements of Risk and ALM functions, rather than a generic product retrofitted to finance. It is also what allows RIALTO teams and OMOTE's advisory teams to mutually enrich each other: what we learn in the field feeds the platform, and what we codify in the platform strengthens the quality of our advisory work.
Compliance and Deployment
Designed in Europe, RIALTO is natively compliant with European data protection requirements and aligned with the governance standards expected by supervisors.
Deployment is carried out collaboratively with the client's internal teams: training, skills transfer, and progressive platform adoption are integral parts of the implementation. RIALTO is not a turnkey tool delivered and forgotten — it is an environment adopted, operated, and owned by the teams who will inherit its operational responsibility.
